18 Gauge Nails also commonly called brads are used for a wide range of applications and come in both Galva or Stainless Steel finishes. Galva 18 gauge nails are for indoor applications and are typically used day to day but most carpenters, joiners and shop fitters for many applications. Choose Stainless Steel if the conditions are more demanding i.e., where the finished product may be exposed to moisture and you want to avoid rusting, discoloration or where the tannins in the timber (oak, etc) are at higher levels and can cause standard/galv fasteners to rust or discolour.
